Two Kinds of Red
I turn the canvas into a large matchbook by using red phosphorus, light matches up on its surface over and over, to produce an intangible map. The red of phosphorus and the red of the eagles intertwine with each other. If the audience lights up the matches on the matchbook, then probably they can continue the creation of the map, and probably they can even reveal the mystery of the map. In this process, the map becomes a blank paper that can be redefined. Meanwhile, the matches become paintbrushes and the scratches they leave become part of the work, producing even more intangible images.
The two kinds of red signify infinite kinds of red. And when red becomes infinite, it will transcend in color.
